Sip Happens (“we”, “our”, “us”) provides a hydration habit companion designed for children and families.
We believe children's data should remain private and under the control of their families.
Information We Store
Sip Happens may store:
- Child profile names
- Buddy names and preferences
- Hydration check-ins
- Daily bowl progress
- Reward and keepsake progress
- Reminder settings
- Family+ subscription status
This information is used solely to operate the app.
Child Accounts
Sip Happens does not require children to create accounts.
We do not request:
- Email addresses
- Phone numbers
- Contacts
- Location information
- Photos
- Messages
- Social media accounts
iCloud and CloudKit
Sip Happens may use Apple's CloudKit service to sync data across devices belonging to the same family.
This information is stored within the user's private iCloud account.
We do not operate our own backend servers for storing child profile data.
Apple Watch
Sip Happens may use Apple Watch to allow hydration check-ins and reminders.
Watch information is used only to support the app's hydration companion experience.
Notifications
Sip Happens uses local notifications to provide hydration reminders.
Notifications can be changed or disabled through the app and device settings.
Family+ Subscription
Family+ is an optional subscription that unlocks additional child profiles and household management features.
Subscription billing, renewals and cancellations are managed by Apple.
We do not receive or store payment card information.
No Advertising or Tracking
Sip Happens does not include:
- Third-party advertising SDKs
- Behavioural advertising
- Cross-app tracking
- Data brokers
- Analytics services designed to profile users

Sip Happens is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.
Hydration goals are parent-configured habit-building tools and should not be interpreted as medical recommendations.
If you have concerns about hydration, medication or a child's health, consult a qualified healthcare professional.
Data Deletion
You may delete child profiles within the app.
Removing the app may also remove locally stored information.
iCloud data may be managed through Apple iCloud settings.
